The final torture is coming next … ♫ 5th IB semester!!!! ♫ :D ☠
TT-TT I have to survive if I want my diploma.
Anyway!!!
Today I want to present you a really cute manhwa which is a webtoon named Papi Nyang. I fell in love with the story even before start reading it because of the cute characters, more Chev which is in the cover. x3
Here is it:

Name in Korean: 빠삐냥
Drawn and story created by Guava
Released in 2008
Originally published online on Blog Naver (NAVER 블로그) in guava85 account.

        Summary:
Webtoonlive:
Gorba Chev, a fiesty Turkish Angora cat, dreams of escaping from his so called "prison". However, when he finally succeeds, he finds there is a hidden darkness in the outer world...

MangaFox:
Gorba Chev is a feisty white kitten owned by a kind and caring young woman -- yet he often dreams of escaping from the "prison" that is his owner's apartment.
When he eventually succeeds, Chev joyfully prepares to embrace his new life of freedom and adventure; but soon finds out that reality is a sadistic mistress and a very cruel teacher...

This manhwa by today August 4, 2012 is already completed with 28 chapters.

This cute manga, as you can infer is about the live of a cute little cat (I love cats) named Chev which wants to scape home as he thinks is a kind of prison, but he ends up discovering that world outside isn’t as nice as he thought before, and even he ends up sick wanting to return home. Don’t think I’m just spoiling you the story, because that is just the beginning of the story, as there happen many other things.
Chev gets to know many other cats, most of them street cats, which conform the story, apart from some human characters as the owner.
The drawings are really good and cute, also the author posted some information about the cats with pictures. This manhwa is based on real life events, but Guava explains that at least 70% of the story was made up by her. :P

I really recommend you to read this manhwa, as the manga before (Hourou Musuko) but this story because is heart-moving (at least for me), I’m sure you will love it too if you love animals (or at least like cats). :3

Well this was my last post before returning to classes, I’m sure it’ll be a long time before I make another post, but I wish to do many more as I have my stupid computer again with me and now it works properly as a Mac is supposed to do (I hate iMac’s >:C ).

Have a nice weekend everyone,
enjoy the time you have left of your summer vacations and rest well,
if you enter classes as me I wish you good luck and success.
Bye~ bye~

Manga: Hourou Musuko, The Transient Son

Hello everyone!

Sorry for not posting for sooooo long, this is a really fast post as I decided to started it today and ended it today when usually for a recommendation about any comic I take at least two days, and approximately 6 to 9 hours at all.

Anyway!
Let me introduce you this cute manga which was really of my liking: *o*

Original Name: 放浪息子
Alternative Names (English): The Transient Son, The Wandering Son
Author: Shimura Takako
Released in 2002
Magazine: Comic Beam
Publishing Company: Enter Brain
Genres: Drama, Gender Bender, Slice of Life, Romance, School Life, Seinen

Summary:

Fifth grader Nitori Shuuichi is a rather feminine boy who looks good in girl's clothes, enjoys things like baking, and tends to have mostly female friends. He and his sixth grade sister Maho transfer to a new school, where Shuuichi ends up sitting next to Takatsuki Yoshino, a tomboy that he gets along well with. Soon, they both discover each other's secrets, and find that they are not so different; in fact, they are very much the same.

Neither Shuuichi nor Takatsuki can tell anybody their secret....

By today July 26, 2012 this manga have 111 chapters, 14 volumes released, and is still ongoing.

I started to read this manga just a few hours ago instead of finishing cleaning my room, I was a bit bored and I didn’t wanted to work on my IB projects, I thought that reading manga would be interesting, but I wanted a story different from what I usually read. I like gender bender, but before I just have read stories of girls that acted like boys, but I thought that to read stories about boys like girls would be interesting. So I entered a manga page and wrote  ‘gender bender’ on the Search bar. A really large list showed up from female and male gender bender.
I started to read the titles, and see the pictures of each comic, then read the descriptions; some of them had just been released, so then I started to also look at the status of the comics.
I read two One-Shot mangas, I read the Daughter of Devil manga (from The Evil Vocaloid Music saga) which hasn’t been completed, and saw some mangas that I’ve already read (I’m planning to make recommendation of those in the future).
I saved some mangas in my list ‘To read’ but this one caught my attention, so I say, ‘why not read it now’ .

Once I started to read it I couldn’t stop, I really loved the story. Because at first they introduce you children, but those children grow up, and you can see how they become teenagers. Also it is really interesting because the Kids as they reach puberty, they are in searching of what they are and what they want to be in the future, they commit some stupid mistakes that I’m sure most of us did at that age: have they fights, have romances, and everything that can happen on that part from the road of life.

In the description of the manga just Nitori-kun and Takatsu-chan are mentioned, the girly boy and the tomboy. But there are other characters almost as important as them, whom without them, the story would be also meaningless. Those other adults and children help Nitori and Takatsu to keep up going on what they wanted to be and do, some of those other characters are or were the same as them. Also the families from all the characters have influence in the story, because in case of Takatsu, her mother wanted her to be feminine; while in case of Nitori, his family didn’t matter if he was boy or wanted to be a girl. The same happens with the families of the other characters. Some of those families, I think I would like to have a family like that, that would cheer for you and let you be what you want (I like to wear boys clothing and act like a boy sometimes, but other times I want to wear skirts, dresses, and be feminine. So I wanted to cut my hair like a boy and buy a wig).

The drawing are good, thought is not the kind of drawings I like the most. I told you the story is really good, I haven’t finished it, but I loved what I’ve read. Sadly I can’t say anymore about the manga because I don’t have more information, as I just started since a few hours ago. But I REALLY, REALLY recommend you to read the story, it is really good!!!!

Well, I’m really excited by now, I think that after posting this I would be able to calm down. I wish you had liked it.
どうもありがとうございました! ^_^

Jump Comics magazine & history

HI EVERYBODY~!
How are you?, I wish you could be fine, because at where I live, there had been recently a lot of social and political problems.  ¬¬
Anyway, I'm going to introduce you more about information of the most popular manga magazines and publishing companies.  OwO  The one I’m going to present you today is the most popular Shounen manga magazine and a little about its publishing company:
Cover of the first issue published at 1968

Jump Comics, is a famous manga magazine created by Shueisha Publishing company, which is a major publisher in Japan.(eNotes.com) It has more than three million readers, and also is one of the Japanese longest-running manga magazines known until this date. This magazine has some sub-magazine, and the most known and famous is Shonen Jump magazines.(VirtualJapan.com)
Shonen Jump was created at 1968 as a semi-weekly magazine; at 1969 it became a weekly manga anthology and changed its name to Weekly Shonen Jump, which is the name it still maintain at today. Once a month is released the magazine Monthly Shonen Jump, which contains all the manga chapters that were released at the Weekly Shonen Jump in a month.(VirtualJapan.com)
This manga anthology magazine is the one responsible of publishing some mangas that are pretty famous and well known all around the world, that maybe we watched in TV as anime when we were kids, mangas such as Dragon Ball (Toriyama Akira), City Hunter (Houjo Tsukasa), Saint Seiya (Kuruma Masamu), or Slam Dunk (Inoue Takehiko); or that we get to know them at modern time for being also popular animes, mangas as Death Note (Tsugumi Ohba and Asami Yuuko), One Piece (Oda Eiichiro), Naruto (Kishimoto Masashi), or Bleach(Kubo Tite).(MangaHere.com)
North America 100 issue cover
In North America, SHONEN JUMP is published by Viz Media, a publishing company of Japanese entertainment, headquartered in San Francisco. It was displayed by first time to the public at magazine and bookstores at January 2003. Each Magazine is released in English just once a month as the Monthly Shonen Jump; it contains chapters of seven manga series, articles of Japanese language and culture, anime, videogames, and sometimes figurines or special collection cards.(VirtualJapan.com) The magazine is sold at the US, Canada, Mexico, and other few countries of the American Continent.
40 aniversary Japanese issue

This Manga Magazine is one of my favorites because some of my favorite mangas are from Jump Comics; most of the manga stories of Shonen Jump are really interesting and have good drawings (there are exceptions). If you want to buy it: in the US and Canada is relatively cheap in comparison to Mexico or other countries. If you live in NL, Mx, you can find it at Sanborns' bookshop. :B
Thanks for reading, GBU, have a nice day~! :D

Manga: One Piece

Hi everybody,
Once again I’m going to present you an interesting Asian Comic, the manga One Piece(ワンピス) by  Eiichiro Oda from Jump Comics. :D This is a Shounen manga, different from the ones I've present you before(those were Shoujo), so there's fights, friendship, blood, deaths, and maybe a little of romance. :B

One Piece story is developed in a fantasy world that it's Mangaka created: OwO
The "Pirate King" was the one who have conquered Greatness, Glory and Gold; just one man had achieved all this, Gold Roger. Twenty-two years ago, before he died executed by the Marine, as his last words he revealed the Legendary Treasure named "One Piece" which was hidden in the "Grand Line", since then the Pirate Age began. Now a boy named Monkey D. Luffy, inspired by his childhood hero Akagami (Red haired) Shanks, sailed to the oceans searching for adventures with one goal in mind to find One Piece and become the next Pirate King, after gaining the powers of the Gomu-Gomu (Gum-Gum) from the Akuma no Mi (Devil's Fruit).
To accomplish his goal, he must find reliable Nakama (colleagues/crew) in his journey to the most deadly and dangerous ocean, the Grand Line.
In their journey to the Grand Line and the New World, they get to be known as the Mugiwaras (Straw Hats, Luffy used a straw hat) after many battles and encounters with the Marine and other pirates, making the World Government put bounties over the head of each crewmember.

One Piece is a really interesting story, not just because of their adventures, but also for the scenery that the Mangaka created based in places of real life (Example: Water 7 is like Venice, Arabasta is like the countries of the Middle East.) and cultural references (customs and games of pirates at the XVI until the XVII centuries as the Davy Back Fight, or traditions like the Carnival of Venice represented at Water 7). :D
This manga makes me feel exited when I read about a fight of the Mugiwaras, or when Luffy shows how proud he is of his Nakama. This is a really good manga, even thou it's drawings are not that good, the story is very interesting, I JUST LOVE THIS MANGA, this is one of my most favorite Asian Comics. x3 If you want to read this manga you make take some weeks to read it, because it is really large by now, each chapter have from 10-30 pages, but by now there have been released 637 chapters, you may find it in almost every Manga Webpage because it is pretty famous, and also it has some special chapters like Romance Dawn, Green, Red, Wanted!, and some Crossovers(Toriko and Dragon Ball). The genres of this manga are Shounen, Adventure, Fantasy, Comedy, Drama, Mystery, Martial Arts, and Supernatural. :P

Well, that's all for this week, I wish you could have a nice weekend(tomorrow is Friday!), GBU!       さようならみんな! ^.^ ありがとうございました!

How to Read Asian Comics

Hi everybody~! :D

Today I’m going to tell you how to read Asian comics correctly.

You may say "Do you think I’m stupid and don't know how to read comics?" ¬¬ , but no, I don't think you might be stupid, because I guess most of the people that are reading this have at least read 1 comic in their lives. :3
I'm writing this because Asian Comics have different ways of reading them, it doesn't mean you should know Chinese, Vietnamese, Tai, Korean, and Japanese languages. But you must know the correct way of reading them, because if not, you will not understand what are you reading, it has happened to me, and when you notice you've been reading in the wrong way, it may be bothersome. We'll be using the terminology from the first post.
  So let's begin:

Most of the Asian Comics are read from right to left, from up to down; just as how you read an Occidental comic, but flipped horizontally, as the picture up ⬆ show us. First what is in the boxes, then the dialogs, and sometimes it might include what some characters are thinking, or explaining their behavior, positions, and faces.
Most Japanese, Tai, and Chinese comics are read in this way, and some Korean and Vietnamese comics.

But there are Asian comics that should be read as Occidental comics, most of the Manhwas are read in this way; also there are Mangas and Manhuas that can be confusing because they must be read complete vertically and then go up again from right to left, those kind of comics are not common to see, those are called "4 panel"(example: "Lucky Star", "Working!!” and some extras chapters of other comics as the "The Breaker" or "Shugo Chara!"), as the example of the picture at the left ⬅ .

And there might be sometimes that some Mangakas add their creativity to the comics, so it may change a little the way of reading some pages (principally in Mangas).

When you buy your Asian comics at the American continent and Europe, the publishing company that did translate the comic may have print it so it'll be read from left to right.

Well everybody, that's all for today, i wish you have understand, and that you'll read lot's of Asian comics. Probably in future I'll make articles about the most famous Manga and Manhwa publishing companies.  :P
Good bye~, have a nice day! GBU!

The pictures were taken from Working!! manga and modified by me with PaintBrush Mac program, and from Manga for Kids: How to Read Manga

Manga: Hadashi de Bara wo Fume

Hello everyone!   :3

All for Money. 裸足でバラを踏め Volume 1

Today I'm going to present you another manga, this one is Hadashi de Bara wo Fume(裸足でバラを踏め; literally Barefoot Stepping on Roses, but better known as Stepping on Roses) created by Rinko Ueda, this is other of my favorite mangas; I recommend it because it have a beautiful story, at first is just the sad story about a poor girl, but then it becomes a dramatic and romantic story.  ❦

This manga about a girl that lived at the Meiji Era(at the time of the imperial restoration of Japan, when the country started to open up to the rest of the world) named Kitamura Sumi with her non-blood-related sisters and brothers. Her older brother always left her with the children to go to work(most of the times he lose the money at bets), also they have a huge debts and one of her little brothers got sick recently. On day, in order to get money and protect her brothers, she went wandering on the streets trying to sell herself for 2 thousand yen(actually ¥3 million) to pay all the debts, but nobody seemed to want to buy her at that price. She was going to get hit by a drunk man when a young rich man appeared and saved her, accepting to pay the 2 thousand yen. Both of them rode a taxi to his house, where he proposed her to be his wife, but he would not love her nor she was to fall in love with him, he asked her "Are you willing to throw all your love away for money?", "I'll throw it all away!". ❀

I liked it because the heroine shows strength, not just that time, even a lot of times more, she suffered and threw everything away just to protect the people dear to her. The manga have really good drawings, and as you keep reading the story becomes and more interesting. It's genres are Shoujo, Romance, Historical, Drama, Psychological, and Slice of Life. Each chapter have more than twenty pages and have less than 80 chapters released by now, so you can read it fast.   :D

It is all for today, have a nice day, good-bye, GBU. さようならみんな! ^_^

Manhwa: Lingerie

Hi everybody,
I wish you do remember the terminology, and if you are thinking “wut u talkin’ about?” then please read the preview post :D , sorry if I’m being a bit rude :P
Today, I am going to present you the manhwa Lingerie created by Seo Yoon Young, it’s genres are Shoujo, Fantasy, Historical, and Romance. This is one of my favorites manhwas, even thou is short, it is really cool and interesting, sadly it is new and just have a few chapters T.T
Lingerie’s background is of Korea in the past. It is about lingerie designers. The father owns the shop, his daughter is the principal character(the girl in the picture), there’s a little cute brother(really he was a teenager), and the rest of the employers, models, also a hot guy that works for the family as servant :B
The plot begins just as you could see a common shop, selling their products, a crowd of customers, the store trying to get famous and gain lots of money; but as the story is developing it introduce you the characters personal life and past, that’s what makes it interesting, some internal problems in the shop, and also there’s romance(it includes the main and external characters). I can’t say more about the story, because it is still short, and if I tell you more things, then I’ll be telling you everything. :D
The manhwa story is cool, and also the drawings are good, the enviroment of the story is nice, and the structure of the story is also well done. The beginning wasn’t really interesting, but as I continued to read it I was fascinated. I recommend it.
Everybody have a Nice Day, and good-bye, GBU. :3
