Manhwa: Love in the Mask

Hello everyone,

How are you?
As always, I wish you're doing fine, and healthy (I'm sick again);
but now I'll make you another question and is…
have you ever been in love?, had you ever dream or known of an impossible love? …
if it is yes, or maybe, then I will recommend you to read the cute manhwa that I bring to show you today: Love in the Mask.
I decided to post about this beautiful manhwa because on Tuesday(Feb 14) it would be Valentine's Day or Day of Friendship and Love, a day in which everybody(or most people) wants to be in love, or find somebody to love, or be with the beloved ones. And as the title and the summary below says this Korean comic is a love story:

Love in the Mask Manhwa
Original Name: 가면속의 사랑
Pronunciation: gamyeonsog-ui salang
Story created by: Han Yu-rang
Released in 2009
Magazine: nnim
Publishing Company: Kkonnimm
Genres: Drama, Comedy, Romance, School Life, Shoujo, Action, Harem, Martial Arts, Gender Bender, Tragedy, Mistery
Summary: Hyun Bin has to live surviving as a man. Fate has come to trap her compassion in a mask like a bird blazing only in it's cage...

From various Asian Comics pages: Hyun-bin grew up under the cruel hand of street gangsters, selling gum in the subway with her little brother. However, after an unfortunate event, Hyun-bin runs away and is taken in by a businessman to be trained to become a bodyguard. However, she must hide that she is female, and pose as a man. And so, for eight years, she grows up as a cold, male bodyguard. But is this how she'll be forever?
From Tinte: Suh Hyun-bin grew up under the cruel hand of street gangsters, but after her little brother dies, Hyun-bin runs away and is taken in by a rich family to be trained to become a bodyguard. However, she must hide that she is female, and pose as a man. And so, for eight years, she grows up as a cold, male, and bodyguard. It looks like she'll be this way forever--until a fateful encounter with Lee Yun-ha shakes her very foundations, and leaves her conflicting with herself, as her feelings of love clash against her feelings of duty.
By fall/autumn of 2011 the manhwa was already completed.

This story will make you cry a lot, believe me. The story is sometimes so sad that you'll feel bad for the main characters. Is a really good story, thought the drawing are the one that my friends usually call "generic manhwa", except the end, which I classify as typical Mexican dramas ending.
If you start read it, you will be so fascinated that you won't stop reading it, not even in the ending even if you already have theories of how the story will end.
This story does also have the common element in Korean stories: Business, gangs, a pretty poor girl and a rich handsome boy; but it does also have another fact which is what caught my attention and it is the gender bender, from after reading this story I got a certain fascination for reading gender bender stories, xD.

Another thing is that this Korean Comic has many characters that if you want you can do a characters' map.

I wanted to post about this manhwa since the past semester, but I couldn't first because my computer became trash, and then because it was on the US. But by this manhwa is by which I got to know many other Korean Comics as it was on the top or most popular list, even if it wasn't the first one I started to read. Also I wanted to publish of it now because there's had been many weeks since I published an entry with information of a manhwa.

Thanks for reading; I wish you'd like it, have a nice upcoming week, GBU a lot. Good bye. :3

PS: I wish you could be with someone on Feb 14, and not be a Forever Alone on that day.

Manga: Dawn of the Arcana/Reimei no Arcana

Hello Again, everybody!
I wish you’re fine, now that I’m sure everyone has come back to classes again, so we have to wait until Easter or Spring break, and then until summer vacations, yeah!

Anyway, today I’m going to present you another manga, Reimei no Arcana, which have the description below. And I’m going to say thanks to Anonymous(I don’t think that any of them would be reading my blog, and I hope none of the world governmental organization would read this)because of what they did by hacking the FBI webpage and some business official webpages too; though I know this might have some economic impact in short or long term, but I’m still thankful because the FBI closed our beloved webpage MegaUpload(including the other MegaPages, in Mexico we called it MegaTodo, xD), and if you know someone who works for this organization say thanks from my part(I’m nicknamed Hanabi No Shoujo or Hada389). The past weekend I wanted to go to the city center walking through Monterrey Streets with a poster saying’ “Anonymous, Thank You, Muchas Gracias” XD. I’m really crazy, also if you know any of them say also thanks from part of the club El Divino Culto de la Sagrada NUEZ (The Divine Worship of the Sacred NUT) from which most of its members (Shushus, Onya, and Nattos) agreed with me on doing that but none of us could do so.

This past weeks I’ve been living without computer, and I discovered that I’m more addicted to mangas than I thought, I just recently discovered it is for me like a drug, TT_TT this is sad. And if I managed to survive without reading mangas in computer is because a friend of mine lent me some mangas like Pandora Hearts, and my mother finally allowed me to buy a Shounen Jump Magazine(which I didn’t wanted to read until I knew I needed to do so, but on Monday I finished reading the magazine :S). Yesterday I read a whole manga volume number 5 of Pandora Hearts in the bus on my way home (Peripheral route 206).
However, leaving that aside, let’s begin with Reimei no Arcana.

DAWN OF THE ARCANA Manga
Original name:
黎明のアルカナ (Reimei no Arcana)
Pronunciation: reimei no arukana
Story created by Toma Rei
Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Harem, Historical, Romance, Shoujo
Released in 2009
Magazine: Cheese!
Publishing company: Shogakukan

Summary:

(From Baka-Updates) Sharing a single island, the countries of Senan and Belquat have been enemies forever. At times their bouts of war are briefly stilled by a royal marriage between princes and princesses of each land. But such unions usually end in blood and the battles begin anew. Our story takes place during the most recent time of potential peace with a marriage between Prince Caesar of Belquat and Princess Nakaba of Senan. The two are nothing alike and Caesar's possessive ways seem likely to damn the relationship. But Nakaba is no delicate flower and the people of Belquat may have bitten off more than they can chew.

(From manga scans pages) "On that day, I became the enemy's possession," Nakaba thought as she stood there, knowing her destiny was to be married for convenience to keep the peace between her country Senan and Prince Caesar's country, Belquat.

Between the two countries there has been a constant war for 200 years and Nakaba has become a sacrificial goat for her country despite the discrimination to her red hair and to the 'sub-person' (half-human, half-animal) Loki, who is her only friend and attendant at Caesar's estranged palace.
But what will Nakaba do when she foresees an event pertaining to Prince Caesar's demise? Will she save him? Or let him die in return to all the hate directed towards her by the people of Belquat?

By today, January 25, 2012 it is still ongoing and has released 9 or 10 manga volumes.

This Manga have a beautiful story that caught you since you start reading until you finish the last released chapter that you will want to read more chapters and maybe wouldn’t be able to sleep well because of thinking what would happen next inside the story (at least that happened to me). And is interesting how its character evolution in personality as the story passes, and also how the story environment change a lot when war was going to begin. I don’t want to say much, because then I think I’ll be spoiling the story.

Thanks for reading, have a nice week and weekend. GBU, goos luck!

PS: the summaries were taken from MangaFox, MangaHere and from Baka-Updates (BU staff. "Reimei no Arcana ". Baka-Updates Manga. Baka-Updates, 2002-2012. Web. 20 Jan. 2012. <http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=40067>.) I don’t own any of the pictures or other media information in this entry; all the rights go to their respective owners. Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistake, I’m still learning English.
Eat Healthy, consume more fruits and vegetables, and buy pockys (they are delicious).

This has nothing to do with mangas, but I think it is interesting, so I’m posting ‘bout it: In some country of Latin America, someone was found dead in their house. According to the autopsy, the person died on Christmas and nobody notices the absence of the person until someone missed that person which was on January 13. I think this is really sad, to die alone and not having anyone to remember you, also someone commented “FOREVER ALONE: being one, how far can it get?”
(Something like that, but obviously in Spanish).

telling something.....

Hello everybody!
How are you,
As ever I wish you’re doing well, and wishing you are not sick (because that’s really tiring).

Anyway the past weeks, as you may know I didn’t have computer, I still haven’t one. It is still in the US u_u .

But as I didn’t had a computer, I’m sure I told you I was getting insane, really, really insane! However I had a lot of time to think, reflexing, meditate, read books, etc. And I also noticed that I’m more manga-otaku, addicted to Japanese comics, than I thought -_- .
Another thing I want to comment is that as I have many computer I’ve been using as I don’t own one right now, my pictures are all scattered in many computers(my brother’s, the school’s, and my dad’s). Another thing that I want to say is that I think I told you once or twice that this blog originally was a blog that my third semester English teacher told us to do, and it was graded(one of my partial projects was the one of the Shounen Jump)(The blog wasn’t supposed to be of Asian Comics, but everyone was free to choose the subject of their blog, at least if it wasn’t something really common in Mexican Culture). So I’m posting here some pictures of the final major assignment in 3rd semester that some classmates made.(mine and Karla’s was one that represented the suffering of those who study the IB xD ).

I can´t post any manga, manhua, or manhwa information or recommendation here as I don’t have any pictures here, but I’ve been planning on posting something of Love In the Mask, Love Allergen, ½ Prince and Reimei no Arcana(from which I think I have some pictures here :S). Asian comics which are still ongoing, and have less than 60 chapters(except for Love in the Mask, which has already ended and have more than 200 chapters or at least 40 pages each).

If I posted is because I wanted to do something else different from homework T_T and because I’d finally managed to use the computed without my parent’s supervision :D .

Thanks for reading, thanks for visiting, I know I’ve been receiving at least 300 visits per day , more or less(a friend told me). So thanks. Have a nice week, good luck, and GBU a lot!

PS: I finally bought my first Lolita dress :3 ,it is sailor Lolita. El tiempo libre es una ilusión! ~_~ Also I finally got to bought a Shounen Jump Magazine without having to hide it from my family and withour recieving any punishment or reprimand.

Hey people, i decided to edit this entry because I wanted to know what do you think 'bout SOPA and PIPA, also to know what do you think 'bout what's Anonymous doing. Thanks.
Decicí reeditar el post por que quería saber que es lo que vos piensas de PIPA y SOPA, además para saber que es lo que piensas sobre lo que Anonymous ha estado haciendo.

In my personal belief and view I support Anonymous(thought the government may be reading this). En Mi creencia personal y punto de vista, apoyo Anonymous(aunque el gobierno pueda leer esto).

Manga: Iris Zero

Hello everyone,
Sorry for not posting on the past two weeks (I think it was two weeks), but my stupid mac doesn’t work anymore and I’ve been living without internet or computer for long time T-T. I've just been living by reading novels and sending text messages with the cellphone, without mangas, manhwas or Facebook games. For me it was maddening because there were lots of social protests and other social issues here in Nuevo León México, and i didn’t have mean of communication except cellphone! Yesterday I said “I’m getting insane” while laughing in front of the bathroom mirror, I was really driving insane!!!!!
Anyway..., leaving that aside...
From today onwards I’m going to post the summary and recommendation of Asian Comics in another way, ‘cuz I’m finally in vacations and the blog doesn’t matter for my school grade anymore, yeah!!!!! So the English teacher won’t check it anymore and I can also make entries in Spanish. If you want to read the comic just click the name of the manga. Here it is:

       IRIS ZERO Manga

Original name: アイリスZERO(アイリス・ゼロ)
Pronunciation: airisu zero
Story created by Shiki Piro and drawn by Takana Hotaru
Genres: Mystery, Psychological, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance, School Life, Shounen, Seinen, Supernatural
Released in 2009
Magazine: Comic Alive
Publishing company: Media Factory

Summary: In a world where every boy and girl has a special power called Iris, Toru who, as a result of not having any kind of special power, was bullied from a young age, lives by his motto: "low exposure”, “to live without standing out." But his peaceful school life changes when he receives a certain "Confession" from the schools most popular girl, Koyuki. His motto begins to shake!!
The school fantasy story that shakes the heart begins with their meeting.

By today, 15/December/2011 it is still ongoing and have released 5 manga volumes.

Well, as you’d read, this manga is about people with powers called Iris(it is futurist, and according to the story kids were born with iris since 21 years ago, but when it started the chance of having Iris was .1%), and this comic genre is classified in fantasy, mystery and supernatural, most of the people would think it could be something really extraordinary, but no, it is just based in a normal high school, and it is completely about high school(teachers, students, grades, school groups, etc.). Thou it is based and all the stories are developed in or are about high school issues, it is really interesting because sometimes reading comics from amazing things or people doesn’t let you appreciate what is around you in your normal life, sometimes you could wish to have an amazing life or something really extraordinary in your life too. But, by reading this manga, you can change your way of thinking and perception about the world as it is about high students life (I’m think most of the people that read this blog is still student).
The main character, Toru, does also have an interesting way of thinking, which is another factor that can make you like this manga. His motto of “low exposure” have maintained him keeping him out of meeting people or befriend them, but as Koyuki started talking to him, a lot of problem arises and he met other people with whom he became good friend later.

Sorry if i'm being redundant.
I liked this manga because this semester was really crazy, and in International Baccalaureate, the classes weren’t boring as they were in Bicultural, also there were lots of problems another issues with my classmates as they weren’t before, Iris Zero made me think more about it, and about life as it is right now. I really liked this manga. I’m really grateful that a friend recommended me this manga. So I also recommend you to read it, and I’m sure that you will also like this Japanese Comic.
Thanks for reading,
GBU,
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Have a nice weekend!

PS: I don't know who wrote that summary but I found it in different manga webpages.
